Nigeria's resident doctors began an indefinite nationwide strike at midnight after the government scrapped the Professional Allowance Table it had already agreed to implement, leaving 19 months of arrears unpaid.
Dr. Shuaibu Ibrahim, who signed the communiqué ending Nigeria's 2025 doctors' strike, signed the one starting this one after the government cancelled the agreement that brought doctors back to work.
